friday night had dinner at Incendio- an italian place in gastown (absolutely delicious appies, meal, wine, and creme brulee for dessert) followed by an early night in watching a movie. then most of the day sat. we started re-arranging our place (pics to come).
we missed vapid but caught modern creatures (jeremiah& nikki), a band fr portland called dark skies (i think) and the headliners fmedead. when i dropped noa off i got to see lori's grown-up kitten which was one of the cortes kitties! (sat. sept.30)

body wrap

brenda has been attending the blanche macdonald esthetics program and this was my second time enjoying the 'friends' day - here i am soaking up a body wrap!

portland

billy n cat got married and andrew and i were the witnesses/photographers for the event. catherine's longtime friend became an ordained minister over the internet and did the proceedings. there was just the 5 of us there and poki took her place as the flower girl while their dog jake just sniffed around the yard.
it was their 6 year anniversary and a big surprise to everyone else...
most of the pics i took are uploaded to a web album (link below)

after the kwik intimate ceremony a party followed well into the early hours of the next day- which happened to be our only time to tour about portland... andrew had driven down with pokaroo on thurs evening and i flew in from boise,ID on fri morn which was the day of wedding, then after saturday we were on the road headed home.

this is where we stopped for food

idaho

my grampa passed away at the beginning of september and so a last-minute trip to idaho took place (a lot of my mom's side of the family lives in/around twinfalls which is in the southern part of the state). my grama passed on 8months and 8days before him, and his love for her was evident until the very end. when my gramps was visiting here this summer he had really aged more in those last few months then in all the years i can remember. now, i have no more grandparents which has been a hard thing to come to grips with, especially since my grampa was such a charasmatic person. i'm sure gonna miss him.
(below: to occupy my mind i brought along my knitting needles and the first chance i got picked up some yarn, i knitted whenever i could and finished this lil dog sweater/cape the night b4 i left)

random sept shots

rainbow's pet bed gets well used by all the puleo family animals (pokaroo too but i cant find a pic of her in it at the moment)

lindsey's 16th bday

aug31 was my neices 16th bday and when my sister hosted her party we somehow missed getting pics of linds and just ended up with these 2 of my brother jay holding pokaroo

scienceworld staff day

for one day every year science world closes to the public and the staff gets a fun teambuilding adventure... this is my 3rd year under the dome but it was the first time i attended the event as i am usually just starting back around then. the entire staff is divided into colour coded teams (i was orange) and the day started off with coffee and muffins followed by a location-puzzle hunt that sent the teams running around all areas and levels of sw. afterwards we got our supply packs (a sw bakpak, notebook, a funny 'blood' pen, and a bottle of water) then we filled two big tour buses and unknowingly headed up to whistler. it was there that we discovered our fate for the day: Survivor, as done by the canadian outback adventures. all the tasks were directly from the show (which i have only ever seen a couple episodes of) and were good tests of knowledge, agility, and quick thinking. it was definitely a good day and my team placed right in the middle -5th place outta 10 competing tribes.

catch-up time

well i sorta abandoned this site about a month ago due to an onslaught of work after basically taking the entire summer off... now its almost the end of september and things are finally starting to get a little more under control. right now it's midnight and i cant sleep so i figured i'd turn the computer on and let it tire me out. i have had some of my pics fr aug ready to post for awhile now so i'm gonna put those up first and change the 'post' date so they file under aug2006. then hopefully i can get this month caught up before it's october!
