(above) jax and i rode our bikes all the way around stanley park on our own lil booze cruise when we stopped in english bay on our way home we caught this owl hunting; there was also a skunk running around but i didnt want to get too close to it!
(below) i've been working on helping my parents clean out their garage... amidst the junk i found one of my favourite kid books... i had a bunch from this collection~fern hollow; i remember studying the map (on the inside cover every book) and trying to decide if i lived there whose house i would want to stay in. it's funny having those little glimpses of childhood imagination/memories.

more of montreal

digital pics above - arrived from medieval days in quebec city and was dropped off amidst divercite (cant find an accent for the last e), the gay pride week. block upon block was closed off to cars and they had a bunch of stages set up with different acts... i danced to a dj from tel aviv in the park, cheked out the garage rock stage (missed out on some good bands there), and caught part of the 'mascara' stage drag show.
analogue pics below (missing all the other shots because of bad film)
quebec city
sebastien was able to give me a ride to quebec city from montreal and above are some shots of a random little town that we stopped for gas in.i was pre-warned by his family that it was a 'medieval days' festival going on in town and so as u may be able to tell the streets were full of people, many dressed in costume...

black and white film photos below from qc...
toronto

after the mk conference was over, my mom flew home and i chekd out of the hotel and got myself downtown. sebastien picked me and all of my stuff up and we went out for a walk to kensington market, and grabbed tacos n beer for dinner. i stayed with sebastien and sara for 2 nights and then stayed with cedric for two nights. and i have to say i really had a good time getting to know toronto better as i had never had much of a liking for it b4, so thanks to my hosts for showing me around!
analogue camera...
so because i wasnt taking the nice big digital slr that i have become so accustomed to, i went bak to my good ol canon ae-1 (which had film in it even tho i have barely used in the past year). when i got my 5 rolls of film developed at the end of my trip, 1 roll turned out completely blank (i noticed the casing was damaged so i guess it got exposed) and the first roll had some pics from months gone past... here's a few of em...

this was way bak in feb (i think) there was a huge wind storm at my parents place while i was house-sitting and a gigantic branch was launched into the roof like a spear... here's some shots of my dad dis-lodging it....

bike rides when with ear muffs...

so, the first part of my trip was business... but i did arrive before the big annual conference so we had some time to do a bit of sightseeing around t-dot... my mom and i along with another consultant from her unit had a great time shopping the streets of downtown although the weather was not always on our side... it was hot and humid for the most part but we also caught a couple rain showers (and if u dont have an umbrella it really looks like u just stepped out of the shower).
one of the things i like about attending the conference is you get to look around at all the big prizes that you can earn thru the year and u get a sneak peek at the new products slated to come out...
the event is full of fun and ends with a bang on the big 'awards night'...

my summer vacation...
so i tested out the new picasa web albums and u can now view all my toronto-montreal-quebec city pics at
picasaweb.google.com/stephoto
since it is still in the beta version i am also gonna post some collages here whenever i have the chance to get this site up to date.
getting back into the regular working schedule has been a lil bit harder on me than i thought but one fun task i had was to create a blog for my mom with all the pics from the business part of my trip... u can chek it out at www.sherrelpuleo.blogspot.com (it's a work in progress as i'm trying to teach her how to update it herself).
thats all for now...
